Child welfare agencies, Family Resource Centers, and many others utilize the Strengthening Families (SF) protective factors framework from the Center for the Study of Social Policy to prevent child maltreatment. Protective factors for adult and child survivors of DV are an aligned and critical ancillary to SF for helping survivors by mitigating risks and supporting the healthy development, well-being, and healing from trauma that help all survivors do better in work, school, and life.
