Too often, survivors are burdened with expectations of many professionals that they are solely or primarily responsible for protecting their children from harm resulting from their partner’s use of violence. In this love letter, surviving domestic violence is lifted up as the act of resilience that it is, and survivors are encouraged to expect real help from each of us on their healing journey.
